  • Stylistically, I could care less about Govenor Jindal's speech. I'm not into that. Substantively, there was nothing there. Does he really believe government doesn't have a role to play? His state has received billions of our tax money to recover from hurricane Katrina and Rita.

  • You are right on point on this one. I agree completely. The TARP bill should never have forced banks to take the money. The Treasury was trying to avoid the impression that some banks were tainted. It didn't work. As far as the rest there is plenty of blame to go around.
